All About Fiber
Did You Know?
- There are two kinds of fiber – soluble and insoluble. Our bodies need both.
- Soluble fiber dissolves in water and is metabolized by the body.
- Soluble fiber comes from dry beans, peas, carrots and apples as well as other fruits and vegetables.
- Soluble fiber supports healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels. It also promotes a feeling of satiety (fullness).
- Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in water but helps promote normal digestive health.
- Insoluble fiber comes from whole grains, bran and dark green leafy vegetables.
KeepWell uses soluble fiber that will encourage you to feel full.
